The Coastal Triptych is up!
Scott finished the Hibiscus a little over a year ago. Then he decided he wanted to draw 2 more coastal illustrations for a triptych. The Sand Dollars he finished earlier this year. And Pelican Moon was just recently competed.
I love having a shelf under pictures…it just creates a complete look by allowing other coastal elements to sit on top. Tying everything together.
Scott chose the bulkhead and lamps from Ikea…since we had the same combination in our guest bedroom.
Here are a few coastal elements I pulled from other vignettes on our main floor. The Shell bottle and basket I painted with black acrylic paint then white acrylic paint and distressed with sandpaper. The shell was a waterslide decal I printed on my inkjet printer. The lantern and candle are from Yankee Candle. Oyster shells sit in the basket and then there are several in a string on the left.
Here is the string of oyster shells with 3 glass wine bottles I intended to paint; but Scott likes them clear since they go with the glass in the frames. Another Yankee candle and a handed painted Loon from North Carolina.
So thankful for the gift my husband gave me!
Thanks for stopping by!
