Baby, It’s Cold Outside!
So it’s been a perfect time to paint, photograph, write, plan, read, and be inspired.
I’ve been ask if I like color…since my home is mainly black & white. Yes, I love color…cool colors…like purple, magenta, red with blue undertone, lime green, blue, and cool gray! If you’ve been following my Coastal/Tropical Decor – Bottle Art, our black & white decorating evolved starting with all white Coastal decor. I just love a white background and contrast it with black…also white and red…and white with navy. Scott loves color also…after all, he has a PHD in art education. His favorite colors are olive, red, sage, khaki, and stone. He loves to illustrate with graphite pencil…so black and white…occasionally he uses Prismacolors. The black and white combination was a decision we came together on for our home.
On with the show!
Mason Jars painted with black acrylic paint then white acrylic paint and distressed.
3 more Mason Jars painted with black acrylic paint then white acrylic paint and distressed.
Sand Pail Basket painted with black acrylic paint then white acrylic paint and distressed. I have decided I want to try Chalk Paint™ on my next basket to see if I like the finish better than the acrylic paint.
Coastal Vignette showcasing the Sand Pail Basket, a blue wine bottle, candles, shells, picture and a green water bottle on a white shelf. This vignette is in the master bath which has white walls, tiles and vanity.
Ice Tea Glass Bottles painted with black acrylic paint then white acrylic paint and distressed. I think these would make a beautiful centerpiece with flowers on one table or one bottle on each table at a wedding reception.
